Three Ways To Better Market Your New Products Online

Marketing your products online may seem like throwing messages in a bottle out into an endless ocean of words, but the internet is actually an excellent place to attract new shoppers and regain the interest of old ones.

Online product marketing doesn’t have to be an exercise in futility, it can be really simple to launch a new product or product line, with the right tools.

The first step to any online campaign is to narrow your focus to smaller, segmented audiences that allow you to create highly personalized campaigns for each group. Once you have your targeted audiences established, it’s easier to choose marketing methods that will appeal to each group’s sense of style and propriety.

Here are three great ways to market new products online that you can customize for your audience:

Run a teaser campaign on social media. Social media is where the party’s at, and it’s a great way to reach those hard to find Millennials who spend much of their time on mobile. If your social media game is strong, running an organic campaign to announce your newest product may be all it takes to start the order fulfillment flowing. Less established social media accounts might need a boost from paid social advertising.

Email marketing to existing customers. Use your email list when you’re launching new products. Don’t blast everyone, but when your customers are segmented and show a propensity for certain products similar to the one you’re launching, be sure to tell them. After all, they may be looking to upgrade, try something slightly different or pick up a gift for a friend. Your email list is made up of people who already trust in your brand, keep them up to date on the most recent finds in your shop and they’ll come back for more.

Network with reviewers and influencers. It might seem old fashioned, but people still listen closely to what their peers have to say. Professional reviewers and other types of influencers in the media can make a huge impact on a product launch. Give them a preview of your new product or product line and let them show it to their fans. Before you know it, social media will be alight with your brand new offering and your site will be overflowing with new orders.

There are lots of fun ways to market your products online that will put them right in front of your target audiences. First, figure out who you’re marketing to, then push marketing messages via mediums that set those demographics on fire to really launch your products into the world.
